Ice Painting
During our topic of Winter, we had great fun painting with ice. The children had so much fun and it was also a great way for them to see freezing and melting in action!
The night before, I mixed a small bit of poster paint with water in the section of an ice cube tray. I secured lollipop sticks into each section with the help of a piece of card – you can also let the cubes partly freeze and then shove the lolly stick in but I found that much more tricky!
The following day I popped them into a tuff tray and the kids enjoyed painting with them. There was a lot of discussion about how and why the cubes were melting and the process involved to make them.
