Paper Doily Snowmen
Unfortunately we rarely see enough real snow to make a real snowman so we have to make do with paper doily ones instead. Yes, paper doily snowmen!
We make them on black sugar paper which really helps the snowman stand out. We start at the bottom of the page and stick down some cotton wool to act as a blanket of snow on the ground.
We use two sizes of doilies – one big one for the snowman’s belly and one smaller one for his head.
We decorate the snowman with snowman essentials – a scarf, a hat, eyes, a nose and buttons. Finally, we use some chalk to add some falling snow around our snowman. The children gave their snowmen names and we all agreed that we were ready and able to make a real snowman, if and when we get the snow that is!
