Independent Art Station

I have a variety of stations around my classroom which contain activities that the children can do independently. They generally use them when they have finished their work, during golden time, at wet play times and sometimes during Aistear.

I try to change the stations each week and I try, where possible, to theme the art station with my SESE topic of the month or with a calendar event (e.g., Halloween or Valentine’s Day). The art station always contains a selection of colouring sheets, pencils, pen, scissors, glue and crayons. Below are some samples of my art station
