Colour Mixing
We learned all about the primary colours during our topic of Light & Dark. We experimented with the colours to see what would happen if we did some colour mixing, producing some colour wheels in the process.

For this I split paper plates into 6 sections. We painted 3 of the sections with the primary colours. One by one, we mixed 2 of the primary colours and painted the section between them in the colour we created.
It was time consuming and required extra adult support in the classroom – to ensure we were all painting the correct sections and mixing the right paints – but it was well worth the effort!
